What the heck? An update??


It's game time!

It is now well after the end of this year's GMTK Game Jam, but here we are! While the team did not manage to put together a proper submission in time for the end of the jam, we felt like there was still something worth pursuing. A lot of work was done during those 48 hours, and it would be a waste if they were never shown the light of day.

While the team had to depart for the real world shortly after the jam, a few of us hung around to poke at the project here and there for the next several months. Finally, taking advantage of a long holiday week, I managed to find a rush of momentum and kicked this out the door. The goal for this build was to have something "playable", by which I mean something that could be reliably navigated and played through to completion with one or more end states. The tiles used for the level are all placeholders, but everything else you see and hear was put together during the jam itself.

That's it for now. My hope is that this leads to a short series of posts as I bring the game to a state that reflects the design we tried to achieve for the jam. We'll see!
